Tai
Chi Chi Kung
Tai Chi
is an Ancient Chinese health practice, also known as
The Grand Ultimate Exercise System. Because of its
ability to increase the life force energy (Chi)
within an individual, Tai Chi Chi Kung is renowned
for its internal health benefits.
With
simple daily practice, the bones, ligaments,
tendons, muscles and organs become strengthened,
while all of the body's systems (nervous,
circulatory, endocrine and energic) work together to
function more effectively.
As the
student learns to apply the principles of proper
structure and alignment and begins moving in an
energy-efficient manner, a new "relaxed strength"
and energy consciousness develops which incorporated
the mind-body connection and enhances quality of
life with its wonderful anti-aging qualities.
The ancient Tao Masters lived in harmony with
themselves, nature and the Universe, and from this
wisdom emerged the practice of Tai Chi Chi Kung.
Using the simple principles and meditation
techniques of the Healing Tao System, you can begin
to contact your own "Chi" (life force energy) and
learn to cultivate more energy through inner
recycling, transforming and storage practices.
When you
become attuned to the inner energy flow and
dynamics, you'll be able to tap into the forces of
nature and the Universe. The resulting health
benefits are profound, and most students find
themselves to be more relaxed, vibrant, energetic
and better able to deal with daily stress.
In our classes, students learn the ancient thirteen
movement Tai Chi Chi Kung form, and in addition, are
taught the martial arts applications which are
necessary for understanding the movements. Also, the
course material includes "rooting" techniques (the
ability to ground and connect with the Earth's
energies), "push hands" and breathing exercises, the
Inner Smile, and the Microcosmic Orbit Meditation.
